NAMI Alger/Marquette County
NAMIam is the local NAMI affiliate serving Alger and Marquette Counties in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan.
NAMI Genesee County
We are a grassroots family support group founded in 1983 and have over 120 dues paying members. There are over 50 local NAMI affiliates in Michigan and a state NAMI-Michigan office in Lansing Michigan. Our local motto is “Give hope and help”.
We are dedicated to improving the lives of individuals and families who are affected by neurobiological brain disorders through support, education, advocacy, and research. NAMI Lansing provides support and advocacy for affected persons and family members in the Greater Lansing area.
NAMI Metro-Oakland, Wayne & Macomb Counties
NAMI Metro is grass roots, all volunteer non-profit organization dedicated to improving the quality of life for persons with serious mental illness and their families through, advocacy, support and education. In addition, NAMI Metro promotes research that will lead to improvements for all those diagnosed and living with a mental illness. It is our endeavor to erase the stigma that is associated with mental illness and we will not rest until mental illness is accepted the same as any other illness.
NAMI Michigan and its affiliates (NAMI of Kalamazoo in SW Michigan) are dedicated to the improvement of the quality of life for persons, families and others, who are affected by mental illness, including children with serious emotional disorders, through support, education, advocacy and research.
The National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) Shiawassee is a volunteer run organization that provides free Family to Family classes and Family Support Groups to the community. These programs promote education, empowerment, and encouragement for families living with mental illness. Both recovering consumers and their families are serviced by these programs.
